Linsey Nelson

Fitness Instructor

Linsey Nelson has been sharing her love of fitness with the Wood River Valley since moving to the area. She’s been group fitness certified since 2009 and personal trainer certified since 2013. She loves teaching kickboxing, Tribe Team Training group fitness. She’s certified in High Fitness. When she’s not teaching she loves spending time with her husband and three kids.

Richard Calcagno

Tribe Team Instructor

Richard was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and moved to  Blaine County in 1999.  A hairstylist by trade , he started playing organized sports since the age of 10 and is currently active in the martial art of Soo Bahk Do, weight training, yoga, and outdoor  sports.  His passion for health and fitness led him to accept a coaching position.

Amy is passionate about developing classes at Gravity that promote health, wellness and a deeper connection to community. With twenty years teaching experience, she has merged her talents in the healing and physical arts to create a format of training that is all encompassing and refreshing. She facilitates an opportunity to de-stress and re-boot.

Mats Wilander

Mats is a former World Tennis Association # 1 ranking tennis player in the world and winner of 7 Grand Slam titles.  Mats competed in 233 tennis tournaments, winning 33 singles victories. Mats teaches several classes including kids, beginners, and advanced players and one of the top tennis coaches in the world.

Kurt started tennis later in his life, playing tennis at Atkinsons park in his early 20’s. Kurt has won all the tournaments In 4.5 and 4.0 at least once through all those years. His tennis life came together with a coach named Nat Sholman. Nat worked with Kurt on tennis during his early days of playing.  Kurt has been teaching, running clinics and organizing tennis 10 years.

Katie Purdy is a fitness instructor at Gravity Fitness And Tennis in Hailey Idaho

Katie is a positive, enthusiastic and passionate fitness instructor. She has been teaching various group fitness classes for 9 years including HIIT, TRX, Barre and more. As a certified group fitness instructor and personal trainer, Katie is dedicated to working with each individual in a motivating way for positive outcomes, either within a team setting or one on one.

Teagan Foster is a Tribe Team Training Instructor at Gravity Fitness and Tennis athletic club and fitness center in Hailey Idaho.

Teagan is a Certified Tribe Team Instructor. He was born and raised in the Wood River Valley. After taking 3 seasons of Tribe he was asked to be a coach and he enjoys it so much he couldn’t say no. He likes to have fun during his sessions yet still make sure you are getting a great work out. While not at the gym you will find doing outdoor activities.

Oliver has involvement within the community in various capacities: Teaching martial arts to children and adults with cognitive disabilities. Developed Integrated Breathing & Movement (IBAM) which is a therapeutic form of martial arts for injured veterans and optimizing health and performance.

I was born in Seattle, Washington where I played football, basketball, and lacrosse. Throughout my time in athletics I have had many injuries, and know well the limitation’s injuries may present, and how to work around them. I obtained my personal training certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Associating (NSCA) in 2017.

Mats Wilander

Mats is a former World Tennis Association # 1 player from Sweden. During his illustrious career, Mats won 7 Grand Slam singles titles (3 at the French Open, 3 at the Australian Open and 1 US Open) and 1 Grand Slam men’s doubles title at Wimbledon with Joakim Nystrom. Mats was the youngest male tennis player to win a Grand Slam singles championship at 17 years, 9 months. In only his third entry in a Grand Slam tournament, Wilander also became the player who needed the fewest attempts to win a Grand Slam tennis tournament. Mats finished the 1988 season ranked #1 in the world. He also helped Sweden win The Davis Cup Tournament in 1984, 1985 and 1987. Mats competed in 233 tennis tournaments during his playing career with 33 singles victories.  Mats was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 2002.

Oliver Whitcomb

Oliver Whitcomb is co-owner of Gravity Fitness And Tennis and the principal Martial Arts instructor.  He has trained consistently in the art of Soo Bahk Do since 1979 and is a nationally certified master level instructor. Oliver has:Trained extensively in Korea from 1986-1992. Run schools in Hawaii (1989 – 1992) and Seattle (1993 – 1995). Taught full time in the Wood River Valley since 1996. Has a BA with honors from the University of Washington in Korean Studies. Oliver has a deep involvement within the community in various capacities: Teaching modified martial arts to children and adults with cognitive disabilities in the Wood River Valley since 2003. Developed Integrated Breathing & Movement (IBAM) which is a therapeutic form of martial arts that has been beneficial for injured veterans and others as a way of optimizing health and performance.
